Emergency Situations
Sometimes the unexpected happens. When it does, we're here to help. Not all issues are emergencies, and it's essential to know the difference. An emergency issue is something that cannot wait. An emergency causes immediate and significant damage, or puts residents at risk. Emergencies are usually unexpected, which is why JEMS strongly recommends that residents and owners familiarize themselves with their buildings' emergency protocols.
Never report an emergency via email or text message. Report emergencies immediately; any time of the day, night or week. Always call-in your emergency concern over the phone 403-928-2716.
JEMS Condo Management provides a 24/7 phone answering service. So whenever you call, we answer.
Identifying An Emergency Issue
FIRE
Fires spread quickly and often without warning. If there is smoke or fire, call 911 and evacuate your building immediately.
If possible, activate your building's fire alarm. Once you are safely evacuated and have called 911, please call JEMS. We strongly recommend familiarizing yourself with your building's emergency protocols.
WATER
In the case of water damage, please call us immediately.
Water can cause significant damage. If you have a leak, burst pipe, flooding or the appearance of water-related damage (think warping or damp areas of the wall, floor or ceiling) call JEMS immediately.
LOSS OF HEAT
If your building loses heat, please call us immediately.
Heating may not seem like an emergency issue. However, without heating during the winter months, significant damage to the infrastructure of the building can occur.
Exceptions: If you live in a townhouse-style condominium and have a furnace in your home, the owner of the apartment is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the furnace.
